Democracy rules

Today's Democratic, playing the game, voting because it's the right thing to do, kind of thinking.

The current government announced a potential court case relating to the Hillsborough disaster, recently.
How about this government uses the monies allocated to future Public Inquiries to prosecute Shareholders of businesses that failed to practice safely. Because time and time again Public Inquires find businesses that failed to use safe practices because they cut corners to improve profit!!
Case in point the business responsible for supplying inferior cladding for the Grenfell Tower refurbishment. ☺️
I know out there many of you will have a reason why they cannot do this but if they choose to do so they can!! They have chosen to
- arrest people with a placard with the word 'genocide' on
- detain people without good reason
- put people on trial for a crime that is not even classed as a serious crime
So it's not about Labour do this, Tories do that. What it is about is any Party/Leader who is leader of a country can choose to do things and allocate taxes paid or borrowed monies to this decision and make it work.
The Chancellor's budget is only half the story because most monies are already allocated - they are people's jobs.
I have a proposal to help the £22bn deficit.
Cut MP's salaries by 66%.
Savings 650 x £62k = £40million
Now that would help soften the cuts in benefits to those who actually need it. ☺️
But they will not vote to cut their salary even by 1% because why would they.
I know let's campaign for a referendum on MO's salaries. The ballot paper will simply read
66% Cut yes or no.
If 17m people say yes then we can all shout MPexit, silent 'P' might help in pronunciation. I.e. Mexit
Whose with me. When shall we start campaigning? Should we ask a successful winner of a referendum to help? Boris? Gove?
We could ask David Cameron for advice on how to convince Kier Starmer. Or just identify his Achilles heel. We could pay someone to turn up the heating on Kier. 😉
We could ask a Private Investigator to get some photos of Kier in sticky situations. We could tap his phone (oh we can't do that now, why). The owner of the News of the World was not prosecuted for any wrong doing. He was not even held on remand whilst awaiting trial.
What do we think
a) allegedly painting the side of an aeroplane
Or
b) illegally tapping people's phones without their permission/knowledge
Is the worst crime affecting the most people?

That's right b) except successive governments and Prime Ministers do not agree. They have chosen to prosecute people who allegedly painted the side of a stationary aeroplane and not the owner of one of the biggest businesses in the world for committing, or at least being in charge when it happened, a crime.
Now those of you who think it's a conspiracy claim. It's not, said person was interviewed and released.
He denied all knowledge and said his son was in charge. His son should be in the dock. But he is not.

So let's recap.
There is a system called Democracy, most of the 100+ countries in the world use it. As part of the system there is a justice apparatus. Most people seem to think that justice works unless they are a victim or a convicted criminal or a member of their family. Most people never have any cause to be involved with the justice apparatus therefore they don't have first hand experience.
Most people imprisoned by the justice apparatus are people who are citizens of that country and predominantly male. However, there is a disproportionate number of people not citizens of that country in their jails.
The person referred to earlier is Australian, I believe.
Could he be deported/extradited to a different country to go on trial? Apparently, Julian Assange could? But Mr Assange is not one of the wealthiest people in the world. And he did something they say is wrong Telling The Truth! 😮‍💨

So we have
The Big Bad Wolf
Little Red Riding Hood
and
Grandma.

Who would you imprison?
