Reform UK storm in a teacup

The election of Reform UK at local level is not unprecedented, Liberals (Democrats) have done on several occasions. Will these elected people disrupt local government, effect financial budgets and make sweeping changes.

They may succeed but only for a short period of time if history is repeated. Farage recognizes this and has ambitions to surpass Liberals of the past. Remember they succeeded? in gaining a coalition government. Anyone remember anything that still exists from that government?

The lefts criticisms and fears of Reform UK have some validity but becoming President is not the same as becoming Prime Minister. Corbyn would have disrupted government if he succeeded?

Can anyone disrupt a system that has existed for 800 years, in a nation that pioneered that system?

I am inclined to belief it is a storm in a teacup. The Rich will still be better off and the poor will still be worse off. There will still be entrepreneurs (Victorian gentlemen). There will still be Boom and Bust (Winners and losers). It's inherent in the disrupted, but still intact, system.

Do you want a system that addresses it's failings or a system that address's it's symptoms?

Boat people are a symptom. Immigrants are a symptom. Governance and unnecessary expenditure are a symptom.

To address the cause we need a different system.

Would you ask a butcher to become a vegan?
