Selling assets to raise funds
'Councils may sell assets to raise funds to balance their books or stay afloat. For example, the government announced that 19 English councils would be allowed to sell assets to pay for services in 2024.'
As far as I am aware the Labour Government is not stopping the sale of Public Assets for the benefit of Communities.
Your local educational, health, social care, etc. building is being sold off to cover costs of running Your Services by Your Representatives.
This democratic decision seems to fly in the face of the will of the people.
It's not just Conservatives who support this strategy.
Effectively those councils declared bankrupt are being allowed to continue to raise monies by selling buildings that may have a future use.
Would You be allowed to raise monies selling someone else's assets if you had failed to pay your mortgage?
The lack of a response from The Public speaks volumes about the level of acceptance in this country.
You have kicked The Tories out only to leave the same policies delivered by a different hat, which many of you knew would happen.
The ONLY WAY to stop the rot is to take control ourselves.
