 The storm prevented most local parkruns taking place. I have had the lurgy for two weeks. Still have it. Today was my Parkrun opportunity for club parkrun league. Not trained much last two weeks. I am 60. But despite all of this I decided to act as if parkrun was on. Warm up done. 9 am arrived ofc I set. 2.5k hard and fast then the pain began pushed through to 5k only to see my phone Strava timer had stopped. Fuck!!! Walked home. Changed. Tea. This blog. Learning - no matter what your body says, or your mind, or a coach you can push to a goal.  Thanks for reading if you have. ☺️

  So National news Chesterfield floods. Deja Vu. So successive governments(regardless of Party), local councils(regardless of Party),  Private Companies have not addressed the problem. Keep voting you know it makes sense. 🤔 Because ultimately it's about Profit not solving a problem. Flood defences. Sewer upgrade. Less/no building on the flood plain. Climate change deniers - flooding has been happening for millennia - So why have you not done something? The inertia suits The Status Quo!! Unless it makes money for those who have money it will not happen. Good intention people will fail because The System will stop them.
