Pubs Galore

  In recent times pubs, and breweries, have been announcing they are closing with regularity. If closure is a by word for failure, saturated market or just not enough consumers then maybe we could consider it our fault. However, more often than not financial or economic reasons are quoted as the reason for the demise. The price of energy gone up, the price of ingredients/product gone up, etc. The price therefore has, or will go up, for the consumer. It's a 'shoot yourself in the foot' kind of scenario.  So if you think pubs, and therefore breweries, are At the heart of a community Help social cohesion/relations Combat loneliness Develop friendships Then why not make the effort to pop along at least once a week and help the landlord, the breweries and yourself. A pint in the local could be the start of a new venture. And where one business falls someone will see an opportunity. So the cycle starts again and the people pull a pint, offer you a snack or just say hello. Meanwhi...
